JUKI Corporation was established in Tokyo in 1938 and is a listed company designated on the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange. It is mainly engaged in the manufacturing and sales of sewing machines and electronic industrial equipment. The specific business scope of the JUKI Group is divided into three major sectors:
① Sewing Machine Business ② Industrial Equipment Business ③ Other Businesses: electronic precision machinery, precision casting, etc. Among these, the sewing machine business is the core industry of JUKI.
Currently, the company is one of the largest global manufacturing enterprise groups specializing in chip mounter equipment, industrial sewing machines, and industrial sewing machine parts in China. Its business scope includes the development and manufacturing of surface mount technology (SMT) machines and electronic mechanical instruments, as well as the production of precision mechanical components for industrial use. Among its overseas group subsidiaries in China is Shanghai Juki Industrial Machinery Co., Ltd. JUKI began selling surface mounters in July 1987, and established Tokyo Juki International Trading (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. in November 1994 to commence the sales of mounters in China. In January 2001, Juki (China) Investment Co., Ltd. was founded, pioneering the modular approach of connecting multiple devices to build production lines in the industry. Today, this modular approach has been widely adopted across the SMT sector.
