It is mainly engaged in the manufacturing and sales of sewing machines and electronic industrial equipment. The specific business scope of the JUKI Group is divided into three major sectors:

① Sewing Machine Business ② Industrial Equipment Business ③ Other Businesses: electronic precision machinery, precision casting, etc. Among these, the sewing machine business is the core industry of JUKI.

Currently, the company is one of the largest global manufacturing enterprise groups specializing in chip mounter equipment, industrial sewing machines, and industrial sewing machine parts in China. Its business scope includes the development and manufacturing of surface mount technology (SMT) machines and electronic mechanical instruments, as well as the production of precision mechanical components for industrial use. Among its overseas group subsidiaries in China is Shanghai Juki Industrial Machinery Co., Ltd. JUKI began selling surface mounters in July 1987, and established Tokyo Juki International Trading (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. in November 1994 to commence the sales of mounters in China. In January 2001, Juki (China) Investment Co., Ltd. was founded, pioneering the modular approach of connecting multiple devices to build production lines in the industry. Today, this modular approach has been widely adopted across the SMT sector.

Points to Note When Selecting an SMT Chip Mounter from These Perspectives
Imported chip mounters currently account for over 80% of the market share, primarily due to their high stability, reliability, fast placement speed, high precision, low failure rate and ease of maintenance. Despite years of development, domestic chip mounters still leave much to be desired in terms of quality reliability and stability. Their placement precision and speed are far inferior to those of imported brands, while they also offer poor residual value. Therefore, domestic chip mounters are mostly adopted by SMT factories with low production capacity or simple product lines that do not have stringent requirements for precision and speed.

What is a chip mounter used for?
A chip mounter is a device designed to place electronic components with high speed and precision. It is the most critical and sophisticated piece of equipment in the entire SMT production process. As an essential device for SMT manufacturing, chip mounters have evolved from early low-speed mechanical alignment models to high-speed optical alignment ones, and are now advancing toward multi-functionality, flexible connectivity, and modularization.
