Founded in Tokyo in 1938, JUKI Corporation is a listed company listed on the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange. It is mainly engaged in the manufacture and sales of sewing machines, electronic industrial equipment and other products. The business scope of the JUKI Group is specifically divided into three major areas: ① Sewing Machine Business; ② Industrial Equipment Business; ③ Other Businesses including precision electronic machinery and precision casting. Among these, the sewing machine business serves as the core industry of JUKI.
The company is currently one of the largest enterprise groups in China that manufactures chip mounters on a global scale, industrial sewing machines as well as spare parts for industrial sewing machines. Its business covers the R & D and manufacturing of surface mount technology chip mounters and electronic mechanical instruments, and the production of precision mechanical components for industrial use. Its overseas affiliate in China includes Shanghai Zhongji. It began selling surface mount chip mounters in July 1987, and established Tokyo JUKI International Trading (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. in November 1994 to start selling chip mounters in China. In January 2001, it set up JUKI (China) Investment Co., Ltd. and pioneered the modular approach in the industry, which involves connecting multiple devices to form a production line. Up to now, this modular approach has been widely popularized in the SMT industry.
